Come learn about three very important museums in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum, established in 1895, fosters an appreciation of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s rich heritage, Riverbrink Art Museum, opened in 1983, presents exhibitions of historical and contemporary art and maintains a collection of local, regional, national, and international art which is unique in the Niagara Region, Willowbank School of Restoration Arts, established in 2006, is where students learn both the theory and hands on skills of heritage conservation.
RiverBrink Art Museum:
Debra Antoncic joined RiverBrink in 2011 and has been the Director/Curator for the past seven years. Dr. Antoncic has a PhD in art history from Queen’s University with a specialty in post-war Canadian art and cultural policy. Prior to joining RiverBrink in 2011 she worked in various roles in the arts sector, including as an independent curator.
NOTL Museum:
Sarah Kaufman s the Managing Director/Curator of the NOTL Museum where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations, implementing the strategic plan, and the management, research and exhibition of the Museum's collection. Sarah holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in History and Politics, and a Master’s in Public History from the University of Western Ontario.
Willowbank School of Restoration Arts:
Caitlin Wooll, Director of Willowbank School of Restoration Arts, handles the institutional side of the college while responding to the students and faculty needs and interests, keeping the program on the pulse of heritage by adapting it to reflect this.
The Niagara on the Lake Public Library is located in the beautiful and historical Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.
The library shares an accessible building with the town’s Community Centre, Nursery School and a café, surrounded by green space and ample parking.
