Eva Tihanyi has been a fixture on Niagara’s literary scene since she moved here from Toronto in 1989.

In 2001 her poetry collection Restoring the Wickedness was shortlisted for the Niagara Book Prize, and her most recent book, The Largeness of Rescue (2016), garnered a Fred Cogswell Award for Excellence in Poetry. Join us for an evening of in-person poetry. Reading with Q-and-A to follow.

Eva Tihanyi’s ninth poetry collection, Circle Tour, is forthcoming from Inanna Publications in spring 2023.  She has also published a short story collection, Truth and Other Fictions.  Tihanyi taught English at Niagara College from 1989 to 2020 and is now writing full-time. She lives on the lake in the Port Dalhousie neighbourhood of St. Catharines.
